show moreCollege is a time of increased independence, new experiences, and greater personal responsibility. As students navigate life on their own, they are expected to make decisions that contribute to their success and uphold the values of the William Paterson University community.
Join Parent and Family Relations for an informative Real Talk Series session featuring the Director of Student Conduct, who will provide an overview of student conduct policies, community standards, student rights and responsibilities, and the educational approach the University takes when addressing student conduct matters.
During this session, families will gain a better understanding of the expectations students are held to at William Paterson University, how the student conduct process promotes accountability and personal growth, and why responsible decision-making is an important component of student success. Families will also learn ways to engage their students in meaningful conversations about navigating independence, making informed choices, and being positive members of the campus community.
Whether your student is living on campus or commuting, this session is a valuable opportunity to better understand an important aspect of the college experience and how families can serve as partners in supporting student development.
Registration is required. Families who register will receive the Microsoft Teams meeting information prior to the session.
